![]() While it soon fell into disrepair and abandonment, the planet was re-discovered soon after by the Sith. It eventually became the home of one of the galaxy’s largest and most notorious Jedi Temples. Tython served as the birthplace of the Je’daii Order, the precursors to the Jedi. The planet featured even more heavily in the Legends continuity. It first appeared during an issue of the popular Star Wars: Doctor Aphraseries, where the namesake of the comics faces off on the planet against Darth Vader. ![]() Tython played its biggest role in canon during the comic books. It was also one of the planets thought to contain the first-ever Jedi Temple, although that has now been canonized as the planet Ahch-To. In canon, it contained the ruins of an Old Republic Jedi Temple. ![]() Tython was an icy, mountainous planet located in the Deep Core of the galaxy. While it’s true usage in upcoming episodes of the show remains to be seen, it will likely be a key location for however long it is on screen. ![]() While Tython is likely not a planet that will be immediately recognizable to all fans, it has played important roles throughout Galactic history in both canonized media and Legends materials. ![]()
